Sundays Forever

It’s the last day of July. Here’s what it looked like in my neck of the woods. Breakfast al fresco. Our version of chicken and waffles with the Sunday paper and iced coffee. Some nice flowers in a little corner of the bedroom makes me happy. The afternoon called for some beer, vodka and cranberry and a pina colada. Some days you just need it. See you next month!! Summer is in full bloom. I’m going to admit, summer is not my favorite season. Here in┬áSouthern California, the heat is intolderable. It’s Saturday. This week has been a hard one. There is a lot of violence and tension in our space. The struggles shouldn’t be ignored or brushed under the rug, they are REAL. Highland Park is a quickly changing neighborhood just a couple of cities over from my home. I venture there often for a coffee or a bite after a good hike.
