Well, Spring is officially here. The days are getting longer. The sun is out and the flowers are blooming. The virus numbers are going down (woo-hoo). I am vaccinated. I am excited to see friends and drink coffee at cafes soon.
Today is my birthday. It was a very mellow, low-key birthday. I got some nice text and phone calls from friends and family. While quiet, I’m glad that I’m here to celebrate another year, especially after the year that just happened. I took delight in thoughtful gifts, flowers and a beautiful sunny day. Hope is on the horizon.
Today is December 26th and in many cultures it’s the day after Christmas. I’ve always kind of hated this day. You see, there is all this build-up going into Christmas, starting right after Halloween. All the decorations start going up, sales being advertised up, down and all-around you. I get excited about the day. I love looking at all the decorations in my neighborhood and I truly love buying presents for my loved ones. I […]

I’ve been house sitting this week. It’s a cute little house and I just love the little vignettes my friends have created in their space. There is a cute vintage feel to the place. There’s also a cat included in the house. Cats are interesting creatures. I’ve never had one but have cat-sitted a few times. I can never really figure them out. I can’t tell if they are playing with me or trying to […]
It’s the last official Sunday of the Summer. I woke up at 5:00 am today. I looked out my door and saw this sky. It’s a fuzzy photo but that’s okay. I walked my dog and the air felt brisk and fresh. I could feel a change. Soon it will be dark by 5:00 pm, pumpkins will be sitting on porches and door steps, the leaves will fall to the ground and Halloween costume ideas […]
It’s been some time since I’ve shared what I have been reading, so here it is. Udon Noodle Soup by Yan Hu – I loved it. I guess you could say it was the first graphic novel I’ve read. I loved the illustrations and the short stories. Some of them even made me teary-eyed. I came upon it at “A Shop Called Quest” in the Arts District of Downtown, Los Angeles. I’m glad I picked […]
Last week I was browsing the internet and I came across a question that made me think and ponder. What are 15 things that are inspiring you right now? Huh, there are so many things that inspire me, can I nail it down to 15 items? To tell you the truth, it was kind of hard when I wrote out my list and let me tell you why. Earlier this year I attended an art […]
Hello Spring, Hello You, Hello Me! I’m here, thankfully I’m still here. It’s been kind of a whirlwind of a Winter but Spring is here and I’m happy to say everything is really coming up roses. I missed this space and I hope to update more frequently. I know I say that a lot but that’s how I feel and sometimes this space isn’t my priority. Anyways, happy to be back and happy to share.
Well, this Summer didn’t turn out as expected. Some family emergencies occurred and that’s life sometimes. So I didn’t get to do as much of my Summer Bucket List as I anticipated but that’s okay because family comes first. The one thing I did get to do was read. Hooray! I’m usually a pretty slow reader and get distracted with things like the television, napping or stalking people on instagram but I’ve been trying to […]
