Hello! To those in the U.S.A., Happy 4th of July. I hope you are enjoying your day with friends, family, delicious food and a pool or beach. Me, I’m keeping it indoors today then am going to a friends house to watch fireworks later. Here are some things I’ve been up to and places I’ve visited this past week. Went to the Vanilla Bake Shop and enjoyed their delicious coffee and scrumptious sea salt and […]
Ahh, Sunday… We got off to a slow start. Walking Lady and noticed these. So pretty. Farmer’s market flower run. Buy one bouquet, get one free. Now to mentally prepare myself for the next work week.
My 9-month project at work has officially come and gone and I feel free! I’m not going to lie it was one of most stressful 9 months of my life but I’m happy to say, I kinda kicked ass. Don’t get me wrong there is lots of learning and things I’d like to improve but for the most part, it went well and goals were attained. Now, back to life. I have a personal life […]
I love our little kitchen. The light in there in the morning is dreamy. Here’s some things I’ve been capturing in there. I love the packaging on Twinings Tea. The color is soft and the paper is slick. I liked this color combo. It’s the simple everyday things I get excited about photographing and learning more and more how to photograph them.
Wow, life has been harsh the last few weeks. I’m generally not one to complain but my work life is crazy busy right now and with so much on my plate, I feel like I’m not giving my all to each project I’m working on. Not sure how I’m going to make it to the end of my super big – super important project that ends in May but hoping I get it done. Whew! […]
Every February this tree on the side of the house comes to life. The pink petals begin to glow among the dark branches and damp ground. The tree is visible right outside my window and on sunny days it brings a sunny disposition to my morning wake up routine. I just love the way it contrasts against the cement. It’s like a floor of pink goodness. The petals fall everywhere. It’s such a nice, almost […]
Happy New Year! How is your new year going so far? Mine has been pretty quiet. I’ve had a hard time getting back into the groove of everyday life. The holidays are always so busy, meeting up with friends, shopping, eating and sleeping in that sometimes getting back into a regular routine is kind of harsh. I know people find the new year a time to start over fresh, make some goals and reflect on […]
Good-bye to 2016!!! Hooray!! 2016 was not the greatest year. I was trying to think of some good things that happened in 2016 and they seem far and few. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful that nothing major happened to any of my family, friends or even me for that matter. Everyone is healthy and happy. However, it just seemed like a year that had a cloud of doom hanging above it and it seemed […]
Welcome to the winter solstice of 2016. It arrived early this morning with the sound of rain pounding on the windows. As I type this post, the rain is back with more force and some thunder. I think this may have been the first winter solstice that actually feels like winter in many years. Like a bear, I’d like to hibernate for winter, take naps and hide in the house but that’s not possible and […]
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. It’s a day to see family, friends and eat lots of food. Thanksgiving isn’t one of my favorite holidays and since my Mom passed away, I always wish for the holidays of the past. I miss her most at the end of the year. It just reminds me that one more year has gone since she passed. Either way, tomorrow my sister and I will be doing some […]
