This was a slow moving Sunday. I took my time this morning. After I was rested and ready, I stopped by the Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair in Old Town Pasadena. Whoa is me. So many good treasures there. I specifically went to look for a vendor I purchased from last year. On my initial search, I saw this purse! I couldn’t let it stay there, the vendor pour favor said there were only two purses […]
The windows are open but I can hear the rain coming down. It’s the first rain of the season. October has arrived and I’m so excited for this season. Carved pumpkins, leaves on the ground, cool days/cool evenings, misty mornings, Santa Ana winds, Halloween, costumes, scary movies, pumpkin spice and everything nice. I think this is going to be a season of change. I’m not sure if it will all be good but I’m ready […]
It’s pretty hot. So I’m staying indoors today. I did go out to get some iced coffee and came across this mural. I just really, really liked it. I miss just having time to wander and taking time to look at things that may seem mundane to some people. Stay cool!
Wow, life has been harsh the last few weeks. I’m generally not one to complain but my work life is crazy busy right now and with so much on my plate, I feel like I’m not giving my all to each project I’m working on. Not sure how I’m going to make it to the end of my super big – super important project that ends in May but hoping I get it done. Whew! […]
Wow, October is just flying by and it’s been a little hard to come up for some air. After a busy week, I’m glad there is Sunday to relax and catch up. Some things that caught my eye on this fine Sunday. Halloween decorations are making their way throughout the neighborhood. This house always has epic decorations. Somebody let Mr. Bones out of the yard. Somebody actually escaped but didn’t see to make it too […]
Lately I’ve been feeling a little down. Not my usual sparkly and happy self. I tend to be an over thinker and when I get stressed out or overwhelmed that thinking sometimes turns to anxiety. I try to downturn the anxiety with other outlets such as photo taking, painting or reading. I thought it would be good for me to start looking at the happy things in my life. The little everyday things that make […]
Highland Park is a quickly changing neighborhood just a couple of cities over from my home. I venture there often for a coffee or a bite after a good hike. After a nice breakfast at one of the many restaurants, we wandered down the street to scope out the new stores that are rapidly appearing. Then we came across Highland Bowl. Highland Bowl used to be Mr. T’s Bowl. A place I would hang out […]
