These photos were taken on March 7, 2020. It was a mini pre-birthday outing with my sister. Dumplings at Din Tai Fung and mid-afternoon drinks and snacks at my favorite bookstore that had just opened up a wine bar. Books and drinks, I couldn’t wait to spend more time there. These are the last evidence of an “outing” before the world changed about a week later. A world-wide pandemic hit and everything changed. I’ve been […]
Last week I was browsing the internet and I came across a question that made me think and ponder. What are 15 things that are inspiring you right now? Huh, there are so many things that inspire me, can I nail it down to 15 items? To tell you the truth, it was kind of hard when I wrote out my list and let me tell you why. Earlier this year I attended an art […]
Do you have those type of days were you just want to hide from the world. Sit in a room, eat junk food and just rest. I haven’t had one of these days in a really long time but today is just one of those days I don’t want to be an adult. Tomorrow is a new day and I’m looking forward to a fresh start.
It was my birthday on Friday. On Saturday, I had a small dinner party with close family and friends. It was nice, intimate and happy. There was lots and lots of food. There was cake and flowers. There was also conversations, super-duper great gifts, lots of laughs and lots of fawning over my dog Ladybug. She’s always a hit at our parties. I’m glad I’m here to celebrate another year of life. When I was young, […]

I was overwhelmed, happy, sad, empowered, claustrophobic, anxious, mad, encouraged, in-sync, ready and so many more. I don’t think I’ve seen this many people, in my life, in one concentrated area. It was kind of breathtaking. I marched with work colleagues, family, friends, other women, other men and children. Then I turn on the news […]
Wow, what a week we’ve had here in the U.S. Emotions are running high, people (including myself) are sad about the election that happened last week, others are happy and are hoping for “change” (I find that hard to digest). Here’s something I wrote last Wednesday that still sum up my feelings. What a difference 24 hours makes.Yesterday at this time, I was getting ready to get in line at my voting poll place. A […]
It’s been a hectic month and it’s only November 3rd. Do you ever feel like you are not giving your 100% at something? I’ve had that feeling the last couple of days. I went to a conference for work on Tuesday and it was about women in leadership roles. The two panelists were probably my age, maybe a few years older and they had accomplished so much and were running successful businesses. I, on the […]
